Join us for a chance to see and learn about the wide variety of dragonflies and damselflies to be found around the Peterborough area. We'll be visiting the Crowland Wildlife Pond where there should be a good selection of damselflies & dragonflies, including Emperor, Brown Hawker, various Darters and Chasers, several species of damselflies, including various "blues", Red-eyed and, if we're lucky, an early Willow Emerald.

Please meet at 11:00 AM on Saturday 1st July. The Crowland Wildlife Pond is on the B1166 from Crowland to the River Welland. Parking is at the Crowland end, at the side of the road, by the wildlife pond (OS grid ref TF236106). This visit has been organised by Trisha Thompson and she will help everyone to recognise and hopefully enable you to at least know a number of species before you leave.

We suggest people bring a packed lunch, there are picnic tables, then if things don't hot up till later in the day we could spend some time in the afternoon.

Our final event of the season and primarily for butterflies, hopefully Purple Emperor, White Admiral, and White-letter Hairstreak.
