North East Norfolk Bird Club

West Runton

Image of West Runton birding site

East of Beeston Regis on the A149, most bird reports come from the area between the main road and the sea. The hedges and fields of Water Lane often turn up rarer passage migrants like the Icterine Warbler in May 2015 or the Black-headed Bunting at the old pig farm site a year earlier. The church yard and surrounding area tend to feature more for Yellow-browed Warbler and other autumn migrants. There is no longer a discount available to members at the Seaview Beach Car Park, so full fees are payable at all times either via the machine or at the booth if staffed. Also, the small car park on the A149 is now Pay & Display, so you will need to pay at the machines.
