Thornage

Image of Thornage birding site

Thornage is a small village on the B1110 three miles to the SW of Holt. The River Glaven and its tributaries flow through the area, much of which consists of farmland with a few scattered small patches of woodland. While most of the walking is on minor roads, there is a public footpath between Thornage Hall and Brinton Hall. Parking is possible in the lay-by alongside Thornage Common. The 12th century All Saints Church is also worth a visit. Habitats: arable farmland, gardens, grassland, hedgerows, river, scrub & woodland.\r\n
