Sheringham
Although a well recorded coastal town, Sheringham is a premier seawatching site. Park on The Esplanade (NR26 8LG) if possible and walk under the bridge and down the steps to the raised shelter on the promenade. If the forecast is for strong northerly winds at the better times of year you may well find the shelter full just after dawn. The benefit if you can get in is that you are likely to find experience birders to help you locate new species. Divers, Skuas, Shearwaters, Auks, Gulls, Sea duck and waders are the main targets.\r\nThe rocks from the Two Lifeboats east usually hold the odd Purple Sandpiper through the autumn/ winter, often with the Turnstone's. The cliff tops often hold wheatear, redstart and chats during autumn migration.\r\n
