Edgefield

Image of Edgefield birding site

About three miles south of Holt on the B1149 Norwich road. Edgefield has a large wildlife pond at its centre managed by the Edgefield Environmental Group with parking around the Village Hall roads. There are a range of permissive paths for walking on the agricultural land courtesy of Stody Estate and the minor roads are quiet and walkable. Traditionally a good area for raptors whilst the landfill tip was operational, it still has a good raptor population. An added attraction is "The Pigs" which is another good reason give it a try. To the south is Edgefield Street which sits in a steep valley which also looks worth a visit!
