Buxton & Little Hautbois
This another walk option using the River Bure and the Bure Valley Railway. Park at the end of Stracey Road, Buxton (NR10 5ET) and join the railway at the station. Head east along the railway until you meet the river below Buxton Mill. Drop down to the river and follow the path to Little Hautbois bridge, here join the drive to hall. There a two choices here either take the footpath back to Buxton Mill or join the railway back to Buxton Station. If you head for the mill you need to walk a short length of road past the mill and back to the village. An option to extend the walk would be to take the footpath north by Buxton Station and head for the bridge at Oxnead and join the river there to head east towards Buxton Mill. Habitats include the river, stream, ponds, water meadows, pasture, mixed woodland and hedgerows. Well worth a visit.
