Aylmerton, Mallett's Meadows

Image of Aylmerton, Mallett's Meadows birding site

This ten acre site, consisting mostly of unimproved wet meadow, along the upper reaches of the Scarrow Beck, includes several ponds and traditional hedgerows. The whole location is undergoing habitat restoration by the Felbeck Trust and its partners. There is no general access at present but a 'permissive path' is planned through the site. The whole area is good for traditional farmland birds and is a hunting ground for the local Barn Owl.
