Hall Farm Knettishall
Hall Farm, Knettishall, covers around 1,000 acres of arable farmland, with a a number of shelter belts. The land is owned by the Bucher family: James Bucher is a regenerative farmer and an excellent conservationist, taking great care to look after his soil and encourage wildlife. There are extensive areas of cover crops (mainly wild-bird mixes), and these attract large numbers of finches and buntings in late winter. The farm extends as far north as the Little Ouse river, and as far south as Market Weston Fen. There are a number of permissive footpaths across the farm, and birdwatchers are welcome to walk these. (Knettishall Airfield is part of the farm).
