Abydos Mangrove Reserve
DESCRIPTION
Restricted Access
A tidal mangrove lagoon and popular resting place for migratory species and also resident birds.
Low water is best for the shorebirds and during the winter high tides are best for a closer view of the visiting Gulls, mainly Lesser Black Backed Gulls and Caspian Gulls.

SUITABILITY
The lagoon is surrounded by private villas so not suitable for groups with long camera lenses as this will cause a reaction from the security guards.
