There are some great birding spots in the South Downs which are fantastic for migratory and endemic birds and the Cuckmere valley is one of them.  This  area is best for its variety of birds across the range.  From the smallest Goldcrest to the largest Buzzard there are annually over 150 species to be seen, endemic and migratory.
